What is I.E. Xperience?

I.E. Xperience is the Inland Empire entertainment directory at www.iex.directory. We list restaurants, bars, clubs, venues, theaters, museums, galleries, casinos, amusement and family-fun rooms, and the events that fill them. We also sell tickets and publish original restaurant and venue video reviews.

Who runs it?

Brian Cochran. He has produced Inland Empire events since 1975. Phat X Events (IE production, DJ, audio, lighting, and live stream) sits behind the Directory story. Outreach and listing emails go out under his name.

Who is the Directory for?

People who live, visit, and do business in the Inland Empire and want one place for nights out. Owners, venues, planners, promoters, and artists who want locals to find the room and the date without leaving the I.E. for Eventbrite or an L.A. listing site.

What cities and areas do you cover?

Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, San Bernardino, Riverside, Redlands, Yucaipa, Oak Glen, Pomona, Menifee, Temecula Valley Wine Country, the I.E. lakes, the high and low desert including Joshua Tree and Pioneertown, Route 66 through the I.E. and San Gabriel Valley, and nearby towns people treat as part of an I.E. night out. We may decline listings that sit outside that map or that are not entertainment, dining, nightlife, family fun, venues, or events.

Is a listing an endorsement?

No. A listing, feature article, calendar slot, or video review is not a partnership, rating, or certification. Reviews and comments are opinions.

How do I find something to do this weekend?

Search www.iex.directory by city, category, or event name. Use the event calendar for concerts, club nights, comedy, festivals, dinners, fundraisers, and family dates. Category pages cover restaurants, bars, night clubs, coffee shops, movie theaters, art galleries, museums, casinos, amusement parks, sports and entertainment centers, event centers, and children’s indoor playgrounds.

What if a show is canceled or moved?

The organizer must tell us immediately. We update the calendar when we have the change. Refunds and exchanges follow the ticket terms that were in force when you bought. Email tickets@iex.directory with your order details if you need help.

How do I buy tickets?

Open the event page on iex.directory and buy there when tickets are on sale through I.E. Xperience. If the page says tickets at the door or points to another seller, follow that note. Keep the confirmation email — that is your ticket unless the event says otherwise.

Can I win tickets?

Promotional giveaways — including register-to-win drops announced on the site and social — run on www.iex.directory when we post them. Rules are on that promotion. We do not run fake giveaways and we do not sell your inbox as a marketing list.

Do I have to pay to be listed?

No. A basic claim or add is $0. Search the site first so we do not duplicate a page. Then email xperience@iex.directory.

How do I claim a listing that is already on the site?

Email xperience@iex.directory. Subject: CLAIM LISTING — [Business Name]. Include name, address, category, hours, phone, website or socials, a short description, photos, and proof you can speak for the business.

How do I add a business that is not listed yet?

Email xperience@iex.directory. Subject: ADD BUSINESS — [Business Name]. Same details as a claim. Sending material is a request to publish — not a promise we will list you forever or feature you on the homepage.

What should I send with the listing?

Name, full address, category, hours, phone, website or socials, a short description, a logo if you have one, and photos. For Launch Free Highlighted partners we ask for at least five photos: storefront, room, food or stage, sign, and one guest-facing shot.

What is a Highlighted Listing?

The paid layer on top of the free basic page. After launch it is $29 per month. Through December 31, 2026, Launch Free Listing Partners get Highlighted at $0 for 90 days plus $100 in listing-boost credits. Highlighted adds a badge, a pin near the top of its category, more photos, the next four dates called out on the page, and a priority video-review queue if you send original video.

What do Launch Free Listing Partners do in return?

Three required actions, then pick two more from the offer menu.

  • Required: complete claim or add with five photos; put I.E. Xperience on one owned channel (site footer, Google profile, Linktree, or Instagram bio); one public share when the page goes live.
  • Menu (pick two): front-of-house mark, persistent bio link, list blast, original video review, first attached event, photo pack, or a warm intro to another I.E. room.
I already claimed. How do I change hours, photos, or a closed night?

Email xperience@iex.directory with subject UPDATE — [Business Name]. You own accuracy. If the kitchen closes or the show moves, send the change.

Two people claimed the same page. What happens

Can I take a listing down?

Email xperience@iex.directory with the name, the URL if you have it, and what you want changed. Removal from the Directory does not cancel ticket sales already processed.

How do I put a date on the I.E. Event Calendar?

Use the form at https://iex.directory/events/community/add/ or email xperience@iex.directory (tickets: tickets@iex.directory). Subject: ADD EVENT — [Event Name]. Include event name, date and time, venue and address, ticket price or “free,” age limits, a short description, flyer or photos, website or socials, and a real contact.

Is listing an event the same as selling tickets with you?

No. We can publish a free night or a “tickets at the door” date without a paid ticketing agreement. Selling tickets through I.E. Xperience is a separate request, confirmed in writing before on-sale.

Who can submit an event?

Owners and managers; planners, promoters, talent buyers, and ticket sellers working a date in or serving the Inland Empire; artists and hosts with a confirmed venue and date. You must be 18, or a parent or guardian submits with you. You must have authority to bind the business or show.

How do I sell tickets on I.E. Xperience?

Add the event at https://iex.directory/events/community/add/ or email tickets@iex.directory with subject LAUNCH PARTNER — [Event Name]. Prices, fees, ticket types, on-sale time, refund rules, and payout timing are confirmed in writing before public sale.

What does it cost during Launch Free (Sept 12 – Dec 31, 2026)?

For Launch Free Partners who complete the partner offers:

  • Calendar listing: $0
  • Professional Plan: $0 for 90 days (regularly $49 / month)
  • Event-boost credits: $100 included
  • IEX service fee on paid tickets: $0 — waived on every paid ticket first put on sale in the window
  • Credit card processing: THE ONLY FEE — typically 2.9% + 30 cents per order
  • No long contract. Cancel anytime.

Pass processing to the buyer or absorb it — your call, per event.

What happens after December 31, 2026?

New events first put on sale after the window may carry 1.4% + $0.59 IEX service plus card processing (typically 2.9% + 30 cents per order). Free events stay $0. The Professional Plan is optional at $49 / month. Boost credits are priced per campaign after the $100 launch credit is used.

How does that compare to Eventbrite and SimpleTix?

On a $20 ticket (published U.S. rates as of September 2026, single-ticket order):

  • Eventbrite service: 3.7% + $1.79 = $2.53, plus processing — about $3.11 all-in
  • SimpleTix service: $0.79 + 2% = $1.19, plus processing — about $2.07 all-in
  • E. Xperience launch: $0 service + processing only — about $0.88 all-in
  • E. Xperience after launch: 1.4% + $0.59 = $0.87 service, plus processing — about $1.75 all-in

Free and RSVP events stay $0 IEX platform fee and $0 processing.

What do Launch Free ticket partners do in return?
  • Required: claim or add the venue listing; put the IEX ticket link on the flyer and event page; one public share the week of the event with the IEX link.
  • Menu (pick two): IEX-first on-sale (24-hour exclusive), logo on the room, list blast, door mention, night-of media, next four dates on IEX, or a warm intro.

What is Featured Events of the Month?
  • The first 25 complete Launch Partner events submitted in a calendar month. Complete means a live calendar page, flyer, date / venue / price, partner offers logged, and (if tickets) rates confirmed in writing. Those 25 are called out on www.iex.directory and in that month’s social and email. Event 26 and after still list and can still sell tickets. They wait for the next month’s 25 or for Weekly Hot Events rotation.

Who honors the ticket?

You do. You are responsible for every valid ticket, including ADA and age policies you publish. Chargebacks, fraud, and customer refunds may be deducted from payouts or invoiced to you.

What if the show date is in 2027 but tickets go on sale in 2026?

Events first put on sale during the launch window keep $0 IEX service fee through that event’s final payout, even if the night falls in 2027.

Do you interview every partner?

We suggest a short 15–20 minute interview with the promoter, host, artist, owner, or venue when the night fits the week. Clips can run on the event page, listing, social, email, and Weekly Hot Events. Not every partner is interviewed the same week.

What is BAC TV / I.E. Xperience Weekly Hot Events?

Featured and rotating dates play in the Weekly Hot Events block on BAC TV (internet TV) and on www.iex.directory. Rotation is the week’s hot list — not a 30-minute exclusive about one night.

Can I send a restaurant or venue video review?

Yes. Email original video to xperience@iex.directory with subject VIDEO REVIEW — [Business Name]. Clear picture and sound. No copyrighted music or clips you do not control unless you have a license. You keep ownership. We get a license to host, crop for format, and promote the review on the Directory, social, YouTube, and related features. We will not sell your raw file as a stand-alone product.

Will you post my flyer on I.E. Xperience social?

When the flyer is clean and the date or listing is live, we name it on I.E. Xperience Facebook, Instagram, and the Facebook Group. Featured and Weekly Hot Events dates get a dedicated pass that week. That does not replace your own required public share.

Do you pay contributors?

Send the video and your info to xperience@iex.directory. Placement and any contributor arrangement are confirmed by email before we publish.

Who owns the photos and copy I send?

You do. By submitting you grant I.E. Xperience a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use that material on iex.directory, the calendar, ticket pages, email, social, YouTube, ads, group posts, and features that promote the Directory or the listing. We may crop photos, shorten descriptions, assign categories, and write headlines so the page fits the Directory.

Can bars, clubs, and casinos list?

Yes, when they are lawful and clearly labeled. 18+ and 21+ nights belong on the Directory with the age line on the page. Full policy: Terms of Submission, effective September 9, 2026.

What will you refuse?

False or copied listings, impersonation, illegal activity, scams, fake giveaways, counterfeit tickets, hate or harassment, sexual content involving minors (refused and may be reported), private or sexual photos without permission, music or footage you do not have the right to use, malware, spam, and off-topic ads.

What do you do with the email I send you?

Contact names, emails, and phones are used to run the Directory, verify claims, sell tickets, and reach you about the submission. Public business details appear on the site. We do not sell contributor inboxes as a marketing list. Ticket-buyer data follows the purchase terms and applicable privacy law.

Are these FAQs a contract?

No. They explain how the Directory works. Ticket pricing, payouts, refunds, and chargebacks for a specific event are confirmed in writing before that event goes on sale. Terms of Submission apply whenever you send content. If you need a signed vendor or ticketing contract, we send that separately.
