Is Pomona Valley Mining Company one of Southern California’s best hidden-gem restaurants?

⛏️🥩 We headed up the hill in Pomona, California, for a rustic Gold Rush dining experience filled with incredible views, authentic mining atmosphere, and some seriously delicious food! Pomona Valley Mining Company was inspired by the prospectors, saloons, and gold-mining history of the Pomona Valley. The restaurant even sits near an old mining site and displays genuine mining-era artifacts throughout its uniquely themed interior. From the weathered wooden exterior and vintage equipment to the panoramic valley views, it feels like you’ve stepped into another time! Of course, the real treasure was waiting at our table.

We tried: 🥩 Filet Mignon — thick, tender, beautifully grilled, and bursting with flavor 🦪 Scallops — buttery, delicate, and served in an incredibly rich sauce 🍖 Prime Rib — juicy, deeply seasoned, and satisfyingly hearty 🍨 Miner’s Mud Pie — a towering frozen dessert covered with chocolate, nuts, and whipped cream We also explored the restaurant’s classic soup and salad offerings before digging into our entrées.

Every dish we tried impressed us, and the perfectly themed atmosphere made the entire experience even more memorable. This wasn’t just dinner—it was a delicious adventure into Southern California’s mining history! Join us as we explore Pomona Valley Mining Company, taste its signature steakhouse favorites, check out the mining equipment, and decide whether this rustic Pomona restaurant is truly a culinary gold mine.
