Downtown Covina: one block, two ideas. 3 Vinos sits at 201 North Citrus Avenue, in one of the older buildings downtown. The club’s own listing calls the dress code fashionable and the cover zero. Treat both as the house line, not a promise. Hours posted there run Wednesday 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., Thursday 8 to 1:30, Friday and Saturday 9 to 1:30, Sunday 5 to 1, dark Monday and Tuesday. Community answers on the page still point to Wednesday salsa. Table service is what reviewers mention when they want the floor without standing in it. Bodega Bar & Grill shares the address on some listings, so read the door before you assume which room you booked.

Venus, at 109 West College Street, is the other Covina name. Reviewers talk about the music, the drinks, and a view over downtown, plus a ladies-free window before 11. Three reviews is a lead, not a verdict.

If the floor is not the point, downtown already has the bar layer: Chatterbox and Tender Trap for a dive night, Edna Vees and Lincoln House when the draw is live music and a table. Those are not dance clubs. They are how a Covina evening still works on a Tuesday.

San Dimas, if the boots are the plan. Montana’s Country Nightclub is the room this search keeps surfacing for a reason. The club’s own FAQ says Friday and Saturday, 6 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., 21 and over, $10 cover in cash, and free lessons with that cover — partner at 7, line at 7:30. Beginners are welcome. The floor is not a beginner-only floor. Bring a partner if two-step is the goal, cash for the door, and a government ID. Corral tables can be reserved. The rest of the room is first come.

Pomona, when Covina is too quiet. The Canyon is the salsa, bachata, and cumbia answer. Reviewers single out Friday, and they single out the floor having enough room. Club Rock It is the hip-hop and Rock en Español name, marked good for dancing. Listings for this kind of night go stale. Confirm the address and the age line the week you go. La Botana in Ontario is the farther Mexican bar that wakes up for live banda. Skip the Lancaster clubs unless the drive is the point.

How to use the list. Wednesday is 3 Vinos, and only if salsa is actually on. Friday or Saturday is Montana’s for steps, downtown Covina for a shorter night, Pomona for salsa or Rock en Español. Park once on Citrus. San Dimas and Pomona are drives. Rideshare home is the adult decision on Arrow Highway at 1 a.m.
